Midnight Dancer - Argia nocturnica  

Range & Habitat:

We have no idea, but they have been located in Allen's backyard where they were feeding on carcasses under the bug zapper.


The only known photo of a mating pair, this image was taken through the use of an XMDI image resonating digithingamajig.  Our thanks to the kind folks at Beemerville Health Imaging Systems for loaning it to us along with their night shift technician. 
 

Description:

All gray, except the parts that are black.

Our only truly nocturnal odonate, they are also the only one known to be primarily a carrion feeder.
