Other Web Sites of General Interest
The following links do not fit in the state/provincial or New
Jersey classifications but may be of interest to New Jersey's
odonata enthusiast. This is not intended to be an inclusive
list but merely a few resources we find helpful. Some of these
offer a more exhaustive list of web site links.
Odonata Central is the official
site of the Dragonfly Society of the Americas and contains both ID
information and country records throughout North America derived
from Nick Donnelly's dot-map projecr.
Ode News -
Blair Nikula's great site for Cape Cod and Southern New England but
also the source of much information for all of us.
The
Dragonfly Society of the Americas is the organization that
encourages the study of odonata throughout the western
hemisphere. At $15.00 for annual membership, the publication Argia
is a steal.
The
International Odonata Research Institute, affectionately know as
IORI, is located in northern Florida and provides a repository for
research specimens. It also maintains the Odonata
Information Network.
Odonata-L
- a worldwide mailing list used by both professionals and amateurs
and devoted to dragonfly biology.
NEOdes
- a mailing list for ode enthusiasts in the northeastern North
America.
