Species of Concern

The species listed below are monitored by the NJDEP Natural Heritage Program. We are concerned about these species, especially for their own survival, but also for their importance as water quality indicators. While we are interested in all odes, we would certainly like to hear about any sightings of the species listed below. Click here for a report form.

In the following table, we list the species that are currently ranked from S1 through S3 by the NHP. Clicking on the name of any ode will take you to the detailed page for that species.
