Recently added to the state list, Ski-tailed Emerald has been recorded from Sussex and Morris county but should be looked for elsewhere in the highlands and valley & ridge provinces.

State: S1 - Critically imperiled in NJ

Global: G5 - Secure globally, but possibly rare in parts of its range
