Range & Habitat:
Fairly common in season throughout the northern highlands and
valley & ridge, it has been recorded into the piedmont as well.
It should be looked for in other northwestern counties.

Description:
Largely blue, it is almost identical to the less common Marsh Bluet,
and must be identified by critical examination of the terminal
appendages. Told from bluets such as
Boreal, Northern and
Familiar by the teardrop shaped
postocular spots and small occipital bar. Possibly can be
told from the Northern/Boreal
complex by the blue sides to S10
