Range & Habitat:

One of our rarest odes, it is known only from scattered spots along the Flatbrook.  Should be looked for on the Musconetcong, Paulins Kill and similar rivers and streams in the northwest.

Description:

A honking big jewelwing with clear or slightly smoky wings and brilliant iridescence

 

 

Conservation Status:

State: S1 - Critically imperiled in NJ

Global: G4 - Apparently secure globally
